SHORT ON TIME? HERE’S A QUICK SUMMARY
The "gold standard" in top-rated PDFs, Adobe Acrobat, is a premium PDF editor developed by Adobe Inc. Yup, the same company that invented the PDF format in the early '90s. The modern version of this classic PDF makes it easy to view and edit PDF documents on the fly. It's an excellent tool, not just for viewing, editing, converting, signing, or redacting content, but also for sharing, collaborating, and protecting your PDF documents. It's certainly one of the most comprehensive PDF toolkits but is it worth the price?

SEE WHAT USERS HAVE TO SAY
“We constantly use Adobe. Many forms are sent in PDF, so Adobe is our go-to program. We keep many files in PDF format and Adobe is the way we view, sign and add notes to documents in this format. Plus, Adobe works hand in hand with our payroll software. I would highly recommend Adobe to any business.”
“ One of the best uses of Adobe is the sign, track, and send feature. You can color code and label each section for everyone to sign. In large documents, it is easy to sort and insert/replace pages without having to open multiple documents. It cost a little more but the upgrade is worth it, editing and converting to PDF is a big help.”
“I use Adobe Acrobat Reader almost on a daily basis. I have increased my usage over the 18 months due to the increased remote work for myself and all my staff. I use it primarily to fill and sign documents, agreements, and invoices. This has made it very easy to approve, sign, and route documents for signatures.”
FEATURES
ARE THERE ANY EXTRAS?
EASE OF USE
Adobe Acrobat integrates seamlessly with Microsoft applications and other online file management services like Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, SharePoint, and Google Drive. It does exactly what it claims to do and does it efficiently and quickly, even when you're working with multiple large files. Adobe Acrobat is compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS and is supported by the following browsers: IE 11, Firefox, and Chrome. Note that Acrobat Standard DC is not available on macOS, so sign up for the Pro version if you're a mac user.
PRICING AND PLANS
Adobe currently has two PDF editor packages: Acrobat Standard DC, which you can get for as low as $12.99/month, and Pro DC, which is available for a minimum of $14.99/month. Suppose you think that you'll be fine without the ability to turn scanned paper documents into searchable, editable PDFs, redact tool, Bates numbering, and the ability to add interactive elements and edit from your mobile device. In that case, the Standard DC plan should suffice. However, if you ask me, I'd say these features are worth paying the extra $2 for the Pro version.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Adobe has a comprehensive Help Center for all its products, and the one for Adobe Acrobat contains helpful tutorials, user guides, and basic troubleshooting articles. If you need more help, they have a ticketing system, and live chat is also available 24 hours, five days a week. You will be required to sign in for account or product-related support, but if it's just a generic question, there are also sales experts on hand. When we tried this service, we were connected to a chat agent in one second (no kidding!), and he was polite and straightforward.
